Peoples Health Secure Health is available to anyone who has both Medicare and medical assistance from the state and resides in the following Louisiana parishes: Acadia, Ascension, Assumption, Calcasieu, Cameron, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.
With Peoples Health Secure Health, you get more coverage than with Medicare alone. In addition to coverage for medical services and Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, this plan also offers these additional benefits:
- Vision coverage (routine eye exam and one pair of glasses or contacts per year)

As a Peoples Health Secure Health member, you receive full coverage for many services, with no Medicare deductibles for inpatient care. Some plan benefits include:

- Worldwide emergency care coverage
- Prescription drug coverage, including through the coverage gap

For those with both Medicare and Medicaid (medical assistance from the state), the Medicare Part B premium is paid by the state of Louisiana.
