2020 Pharmacy and Prescription Changes
On January 1, 2020, OptumRX will be the pharmacy benefits manager for Peoples Health Medicare Advantage plans.
The pharmacy benefits manager helps us administer your Part D benefit. This could mean changes to your prescription drugs, costs, copays and how you receive your medications. We want you to be prepared for 2020, so we’ve created this page to help you transition your medications smoothly into the new year.
Click the Medication Search button below to see how your medications will be covered in 2020.
You will receive a new Peoples Health member ID card in December for 2020.
Your 2020 ID card contains important information for when you fill your prescriptions.
It has the following information your doctors and pharmacists need:
- RxBin Number: 610097
- RxPCN Number: 9999
- Rx Group Number: MPDPHP
Be sure to bring your ID card with you every time you get health care services or fill prescriptions in 2020. Let your doctors and pharmacy know that your pharmacy benefits manager is OptumRx for 2020.
The drugs on our formulary (list of covered drugs) may change for 2020.
If you don’t see a drug that you’re used to on our formulary, it’s OK, we’re here to help.
Some of your drugs may change tiers in 2020.
Some of your drugs may be $0 with 90-day mail-order delivery.
Some drugs will change tiers in 2020, which could mean a higher copay. For drugs that change from Tier 1 to Tier 2, you may be able to pay a $0 copay when you get a 90-day supply through our mail-order program. For other drugs that change to a higher tier, lower cost alternatives may be available. Talk to your doctor about lower cost options.
Our mail-order program is changing.
OptumRx will manage our mail-order program.
This means there will be changes to how you order 90-day supplies of your medication through the program. You can call, complete a mail-order form, or fill prescriptions online through OptumRx. The first time you order online in 2020, you’ll need to create a new account. Your doctor can also send e-prescriptions for the medications you need.
For medications you’re getting through our 2019 mail-order program and that are on our 2020 formulary, we and OptumRx will work with you to transition the medications to the new program.
