Peoples Health partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Terrebonne Council on Aging to help local seniors celebrate Peoples Health employees serving Thanksgiving meals to seniors in Houma.Thanksgiving in the spirit of giving back to the community.

Volunteers from the organizations served more than 250 Thanksgiving meals to local seniors at the Houma Municipal Auditorium. Guest server included Jim Boulet, a Southland market farmer who has been donating thousands of pounds of produce exclusively to Second Harvest since 2012. Uniquely, Boulet’s produce was featured in the Cushaw Squash Spice Cake for the dessert portion of the meal.
