In an effort to give back this holiday season, Peoples Health has once again joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana to help local seniors celebrate Thanksgiving. According to Feeding America, Louisiana is ranked #1 as the worst state for seniors at risk of hunger, with 1 in 4 seniors facing food insecurity. Nick Karl from Peoples Health joined Susan Goss from Second Harvest Food Bank on the WVUE Fox 8 morning show to talk about the ways they’re working together to combat food insecurity, especially during the holiday season.
