Peoples Health is committed to helping our plan members manage their health and be active. That is why we offer you a fitness benefit through the Peoples Health Fitness program. With the program, you receive a complimentary membership to your choice of one of our contracted fitness centers.
This complimentary membership gives you access to all of the fitness center's amenities, including cardiovascular equipment (for example, treadmills and stationary bikes), weight-training equipment, classes, pools and saunas.*
Getting your complimentary membership is easy!
- View our list of fitness centers to see which fitness centers are participating in the Peoples Health Fitness program. Or, contact the Peoples Health Member Services department at one of the phone numbers below for information about participating fitness centers.
- Call Member Services to notify us of the fitness center you have selected.
- If this is your first time joining a fitness center through your Peoples Health plan fitness benefit, you may begin going to the fitness center within 48 hours of notifying Member Services of your selection. If you are currently a member of a fitness center through your Peoples Health plan's fitness benefit and you are changing fitness centers, you may begin going to the fitness center on the first of the month following the month when you make your change. In either instance, on your first visit to your fitness center choice, present your Peoples Health plan ID card to finalize your membership.
You can also change your fitness center choice at any time. If you would like to switch your complimentary membership from one fitness center in the program to another, please contact Member Services. Your new fitness center choice will be effective on the first day of the following month.
Please note: You may be enrolled in only one fitness center at a time. Additionally, some fitness centers may require advance notice of cancellation of your fitness center membership, even though Peoples Health does not require such notice. If you are thinking of cancelling your membership, you may want to discuss with a facility staff member if there are any advance notice requirements.

*Any fitness center services that normally have an additional fee, such as personal training or fitness classes that must be paid for individually, are not included in the complimentary membership.
