Donna Klein is a member and head of McGlinchey Stafford's health care law group in their New Orleans office. Since receiving her law degree from Tulane University School of Law, Ms. Klein has combined her prior experience as a registered nurse with her legal practice. She has represented hospitals, physicians, health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, independent practice associations, national and multi-national hospital ownership companies and various other health care providers and regulatory bodies throughout the nation. Her practice includes advising clients in the areas of fraud and abuse, anti-self-referral laws, civil and criminal investigations, medical staff credentialling, managed care, risk management, contracts and reimbursement.
Ms. Klein has published and lectured extensively on a variety of medical-legal issues.
She was selected by the Women Business Owners of Greater New Orleans as one of the eight Achievers of 1995, and by New Orleans Magazine as one of the "Fifty People to Watch" in New Orleans in 1992. Ms. Klein was selected as one of the Woodward White's best health care lawyers in America each year since 1991.
