Secure Health from Peoples Health was designed for people who are dual-eligible — meaning they have both Medicare and Medicaid.
Secure Health is available to dual-eligible residents of Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington and West Baton Rouge parishes.
Secure Health has no monthly premium, and you get more benefits than with original Medicare.
In addition to 100% coverage for inpatient hospital stays and $0 copays for doctor and specialist visits, Secure Health includes:
- Dental benefit for preventive and comprehensive care with $0 copay and up to $1,000 of coverage per year, including denture repair
- Eye exam and one pair of glasses (or contacts) per year
- Non-emergency transportation
- Health club membership and fitness classes for $0
- Discounts on routine hearing exams and on hearing aids
- No annual maximums on brand-name or generic drugs
